Since the year of 2013, he is employed as a head surgical department at Batumi Referral Hospital.
He graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University and gained degree of Medical Doctor with distinction. Dr. Kashibadze underwent post diploma training at National Centre of Sepsis and at Centre of Angiosurgery After Acad. Bokhua. Since the year of 2006, he is a full professor and an author of 40 local and 15 international scientific publications. In 2015 he was elected as a
professor at the department of clinical therapy.
During the years of 2013-2014 Prof. Kashibadze underwent training for transplantology at several hospitals: Organ and Tissue transplantation Centre of Belarus; Department of Liver Diseases and Transplantation of Kent Hospital in Izmir, Turkey; Organ and Tissue transplantation Centre of India, Medanta Hospital.
First Living donor liver transplantation was performed in Georgia under leadership of Prof. Kakhaber Kashibadze.
